About the archive
The European Southern Observatory exists because the sky over northern Chile is one of the clearest on Earth.
Sixteen countries pay for it. Its telescopes stand at La Silla, Paranal and Chajnantor, high in the Atacama, one of the driest places on the planet, where there is almost nothing overhead but the thing they are pointed at.
Nothing of theirs is in print yet.
