The story behind every piece

Madtag shows human-made art and tells the story behind it.

Every work in this gallery was made by a person. Someone stood at an easel, or behind a lens, or over a page, and decided what it would become. That decision, and the life around it, is a story worth telling. So we tell it. Beside every work sits the artist's name and their own account of the piece: what it is, where it was made, why it exists.

We hang the work the way the artist made it. Each piece keeps its own size and its own shape. Nothing is cropped to fit a layout - where the image ends was the artist's decision.

The mission is simple: celebrate human creativity, and connect the people who make remarkable things with the people who want to live with them, anywhere in the world.
