Deck in Fog
A landed booster stands inside a glowing fog of its own making, a painted deck line the one hard shape in the frame.
Almost all of this picture is atmosphere. The stage has already landed and stands on the deck inside a dense fog it made itself, lit from the base so the fog glows and the upper body simply fades out. The painted perimeter line on the deck at the left is the one hard shape in the frame.
The booster is not drawn by an outline. It is held apart from the fog by edge contrast alone, across a very narrow band of midtones, which makes it the frame here most dependent on what it is printed on. Given a surface that compresses those midtones the fog goes flat grey and the stage stops being visible in it.
